Students of Cagayan State University-Andrews campus are in for a treat as they may now access their grades via the internet and need not wait in line at the University Registrar’s Office to get an update on their official academic records.
Through the Higher Education Enrollment Decision Support (HEEDS) software developed by Filipino Computer Scientist Dr. Ricolindo Carino, students of both undergraduate and graduate school courses may now access their grades and view their plan of coursework to guide them regarding which subjects the students should enroll in for the current semester.
To gain access to HEEDS, students of CSU-Andrews are instructed to obtain their usernames and individual passwords from the Office of the University Registrar by simply showing their Student ID Card. Once the student gets his/her username and password, he/she must visit the CSU website at http://www.csu.edu.ph and look for the CSU Andrews HEEDS link located under the Quick Links column on the left side of the screen (see screenshot below).
Once inside HEEDS, click on Period I:
And then click on Connect (see screenshot):
You are now at the login page of CSU Andrews HEEDS. Type in the username and password (obtained previously from the University Registrar’s Office) in their respective boxes and then click the Login button.
Upon successful login, you will now see your list of subjects and corresponding grades (student name and grades are omitted in the screenshot for security purposes).
ABOUT HEEDS This software was originally engineered by Dr. Cariño as the enrollment platform for the University of the Philippines - Los Baños. It is hard coded using FORTRAN as the programming language. This is a free, open source software designed to support enrollment planning in Higher Educational Institutions, particularly the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Philippines.
